Join The Alumni Association of Case Western Reserve University and the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women for a special speaker series during Women’s History Month.
Women of Wonder: Sharing HerStory will feature unique alumnae leaders, innovators and champions who persevere to make history, reclaim their story and create a new living herstory.
The first event in the series will feature Justice Melody J. Stewart (SAS ’08), justice with The Supreme Court of Ohio. Stewart will give a presentation Wednesday, March 10, at 6 p.m. ET.
Stewart was elected in 2018 as the 161st Justice, and first African-American woman elected, to serve on The Supreme Court of Ohio. She served on the Eighth District Court of Appeals for 12 years, including service as the court’s Administrative Judge in 2013. Her previous work includes faculty positions at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, University of Toledo College of Law, Ursuline College and a staff position at Case Western Reserve University. She graduated with her PhD as a Mandel Leadership Fellow in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.
