Women faculty workshop series kicks off with Lab Management and Administration

The first in a series of Lab Management and Administration workshops for women faculty will be held Sept. 20 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Spartan Room of Thwing Center. Panelists Helen Salz, professor of genetics, and Yu-Chung Yang, professor of biochemistry, will discuss Lab Organization and Administration. Learn key elements of a successful lab, tips on communication and productive interaction with lab assistants, and maximizing publications from your lab.

The series includes Communication and Managing Students (Nov. 2), Research Budgets 101 (Jan. 25) and Research and Funding (March 22).
