Charis Eng, professor and vice chair of the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences at the School of Medicine, will address challenges faced by Asian women faculty and staff at a reception on Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom A.
Eng will address the issues of marginalization, the “Bamboo Ceiling,” minority status, role models and mentors, and cultural conflicts with teaching, supervisors and team membership.
The reception is co-sponsored by the Women Faculty Leadership Development Institute of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women and the Cleveland Clinic’s Global Employee Resource Group with the Women Professional Staff Association.
