WISHED program seeks mentors for female PhD students

The Women in Science and Humanities Earning Doctorates (WISHED) graduate student organization is creating a structured program, in cooperation with the Postdoctoral Association, to facilitate female mentorship at Case Western Reserve University among the female faculty, postdocs, alumni and PhD students.

A goal of the WISHED CONNECT-HER program is to strengthen professional relationships between current and past members of the Case Western Reserve community by matching PhD students with a faculty, postdoc or alumna mentor.

The mission of the WISHED CONNECT-HER Program is to foster positive professional relationships between women who want to mentor the next generation of scholars and female PhD students who seek wisdom and guidance in career planning, networking, or other professional development skills from knowledgeable women.

For more information, email WISHED.CWRU@gmail.com. If you agree to participate, WISHED will send out a survey that will be used to match mentors and mentees in this program based on shared interests and goals.

Applications for the program are due on Aug. 2.
