Women in Science and Engineering Roundtable (WISER) will present its fifth annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IAGTE) Feb. 14. IAGTE Days promote engineering as a strong career option to sixth-grade girls. WISER will host 100 middle-school students from E-Prep School, the Intergenerational School, Monticello Middle School, Hope Academy North West and Woodbury Elementary. Students will learn from female professionals and participate in hands-on lab activities.
To help make this event happen, WISER seeks undergraduate or graduate students to show the sixth-grade students around campus. A volunteer training will be held Monday, Feb. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women Conference Room 303 in the Thwing Center.
