As part of the William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series—Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation’s signature event—bestselling author and rockstar Michelle Zauner will give on a talk on the Case Western Reserve University campus. Zauner’s talk will be held Thursday, Oct. 19, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Maltz Performing Arts Center.
Zauner is best known as the Grammy-nominated lead singer and guitarist for the indie pop band Japanese Breakfast. Her debut memoir, Crying in H Mart, is an unforgettable, powerful memoir about family, food, grief, love and growing up as a Korean American trying to find herself after her mother passed from cancer.
Crying in H Mart is being adapted into a film by MGM’s Orion Pictures, with a soundtrack by Zauner.
