Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation’s signature event—the William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series—is back at the Maltz Performing Arts Center for its 20th season. The first event in the series is with best-selling authors Ann Patchett and Kevin Wilson Wednesday, Sept. 27.
Patchett is a devoted reader and champion of literary culture and independent bookstores. Her popular novel, The Dutch House, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, has sold more than 1 million copies and the audiobook is narrated by Tom Hanks.
Wilson is known for his radically inventive books that are filled with wit and heavy emotions. He is the author of The Family Fang, which was adapted into a film starring Nicole Kidman and Jason Bateman. His latest book, Now Is Not the Time to Panic, was released in November 2022.
