What’s the role of religion at a secular university? Join the discussion Nov. 4

The Share the Vision committee and the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge will host an open forum Nov. 4 titled “What is the Role of Religion at a Secular University?”

Audience participation will be encouraged in the forum, answering questions about the role of religion at a secular university—should we support it, promote it, accommodate it, respect it or ignore it?

The discussion, which is open to all members of the CWRU community, will begin at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 4 in Nord Hall 310. Pizza and drinks will be provided.

William Deal, Severance Professor of the History of Religion, will lead the panel of Colleen Barker-Williamson, director of Student Activities and Leadership; Peter Haas, chair of religious studies; and Mano Singham, director of UCITE.
