Toledo Blade: Simon Peck, associate professor of design and innovation, discussed the trend toward CEOs receiving stock-based compensation awards. “By loading up executives with a lot of stock, you’re in theory asking them to behave like they’re the owners of the company and take appropriate long-term decisions in the interest of the shareholders. You’re making executives think like the owner,” he said.
