The first-ever Italian Institute of Project Management International Award (ISIPM) was awarded Oct. 27 in Rome to Richard Boyatzis, a Distinguished University Professor and the H.R. Horvitz Professor of Family Business at the Weatherhead School of Management.
The award recognizes research and innovation in the project management discipline that seeks to achieve better performance on complex projects, including research into multiple intelligences.
Boyatzis has conducted advanced research into aspects of human behavior, particularly emotional intelligence, competences, leadership and multiple intelligences (cognitive, emotional, social), all of which are particularly effective in developing and managing project teams.
Boyatzis also recently was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Escola Superior d’Administració i Direcció d’Empreses at the Ramon Llull University, in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
