Weatherhead’s Michael Goldberg discussed how the conflict in Ukraine could affect gas prices

As tensions rise between Russia and Ukraine, so will gas prices

Michael Goldberg, executive director Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship

MSN: Michael Goldberg, associate professor of design and innovation at Weatherhead School of Management and executive director of the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship, discussed how conflict in Ukraine could drive prices up at the gas pump. “The demand for oil is outpacing supply, so it causes our energy prices to rise,” Goldberg said. “Our European allies are extremely dependent on resources out of Russia, and Ukraine is a key energy distribution hub as well. The markets look at all the uncertainty over what’s going to happen as tensions continue to escalate and that is causing prices to rise.”
