The honor is for change management theorists and pioneers in the field of organization development. The list includes thought leaders such as MIT’s Edgar Schein, Dave Ulrich at University of Michigan, author Judith Katz and others.

In Wiley’s July 10 release of the Change Champions Field Guide by Louis Carter, the authors state these top individuals in the field “are widely recognized as among the best in organizational change and development.” Chapter nine in the book—co-authored by Cooperrider and former Weatherhead PhD graduate David Bright—features appreciative inquiry and how it helped create a positive revolution in the field of change.

Cooperrider also is the Fairmount Santrol – David L. Cooperrider Professor in Appreciative Inquiry and faculty director of the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit.
