Weatherhead’s David Clingingsmith and Scott Shane are concerned about a lack of a federal response regarding essential businesses

Cleveland.com:  David Clingingsmith, associate professor of economics and Scott Shane, A. Malachi Mixon III Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies—both at the Weatherhead School of Management—spoke about the broadness of the order by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine that all but essential businesses should be closed, noting that the new state rules don’t seem much more stringent than the existing recommendations. Both economists expressed concerns that the lack of a federal response will likely make some businesses start to lay off workers.
