In Smart Business Magazine, Chris Laszlo, professor of organizational behavior at Weatherhead School of Management, published an article titled “The future of sustainable growth strategies: From doing less harm to making a positive impact,” earlier this year.
With many companies setting ambitious sustainability targets (for “regeneration” or “positive impact”) but caught in an operational reality of continuing to harm people and the environment, the “talk-do” gap is growing between sustainability goals and the corporate capacity to deliver against those goals.
In his article, Laszlo highlights immediate steps that businesses can take to close this gap, maintain their credibility, and focus sustainability strategies on business value.
