Michael Goldberg, assistant professor of design and innovation, watched the Cleveland Cavaliers win the NBA championship last month and the resulting parade while abroad.
Goldberg celebrated the win from Kosovo, where he was giving seminars about his massive open online course, Beyond Silicon Valley, on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.
While many people in the audience recognized Lebron James, Goldberg expanded their knowledge of Cleveland by talking about the city’s growth in entrepreneurship over recent years.
He wrote about his experience and Kosovo’s economy in an article for The Huffington Post titled “Exporting LeBron and Entrepreneurship—A Cavs Fan Celebrates in Kosovo.”
