The African Student Association at Case Western Reserve University will host the fourth annual African Takeover Day, as members of the campus community are invited to wear native African attire all day on Friday, Feb. 27.
The purpose of this event is to close Black History Month with African pride and highlight different cultures on campus. This day serves as a way for students, staff and faculty to feel comfortable in their culture.
The African Student Association will loan out clothes and accessories. To borrow attire, email pja27@case.edu.
Those dressed in African attire can have a professional photo taken from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Bellflower Lounge in Thwing Center. The African Student Association also will host a free after party at The Spot from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
