A representative from the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program, the state’s official source for free, unbiased Medicare information and counseling, will hold “Welcome to Medicare” events on campus in the coming weeks.
At the events, soon-to-be beneficiaries will learn the basics of Medicare.
The representative will present information about important deadlines, benefits Medicare provides, Medicare advantage plans, supplemental health insurance and prescription drug coverage. There also will be information regarding financial assistance programs that help pay for Medicare’s Part B premium and out-of-pocket expenses associated with prescription drug costs.
