Suzanne Rivera, Case Western Reserve University’s vice president for research and technology management, has been elected to the board of directors for the Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R). Her three-year term began this month.
PRIM&R advances the highest ethical standards in the conduct of biomedical, behavioral and social science research through education, membership services, professional certification, public policy initiatives and community building.
Rivera also is a faculty member in the Department of Bioethics at the School of Medicine and serves as the institutional official for human research protections. She has served on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Human Research Protections and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Human Studies Review Board. She is a member of PRIM&R’s Nominations and Elections Committee.
