Suzanne Rivera, vice president for research and technology management, was recently elected member-at-large of the Section on Social, Economic & Political Sciences of The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Rivera will serve a four-year term that begins Feb. 17.
Also elected to a leadership role within AAAS was Cynthia Beall, professor of anthropology, who will serve on the association’s board of directors.
The American Association for the Advancement of Science is an international nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. that promotes the innovation of science and engineering through research publications.
