As part of the Northeast Ohio Public Policy Forums, the Laura and Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will host a panel discussion titled “Why Should I Vote? What’s at Stake in the November Election?”
The event will take place today (Sept. 27) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Cleveland Heights Community Center (1 Monticello Blvd., Cleveland Heights).
The panel, moderated by Cleveland 19 News’ Harry Boomer, will be composed of:
- Mike Brickner, Ohio director of All Voting is Local;
- Tom Roberts, president of the NAACP Ohio Conference; and
- Camille Wimbish, director of the Ohio Voters Rights Coalition.
The event is free and open to the public.
Attendees also will learn about ways to get involved with non-partisan “Get Out the Vote” efforts led by Northeast Ohio Voter Advocates and Alpha Omega Foundation.
It is cosponsored by NAACP Cleveland Chapter, the League of Women Voters Greater Cleveland and Heights Public Libraries.
