Vote for the School of Medicine and UH in the STAT Madness Competition

The Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and University Hospitals (UH) are represented in the STAT Madness Competition, a bracket-style contest for biomedical research.

A total of 64 institutions/studies were chosen for the competition.

Case Western Reserve’s and UH’s project leverages continuous remote home monitoring with ICU-level technology, coupled with therapy—which could open up a new way to keep people healthy at home rather than in a hospital. The approach offers a potential solution for hospitals saddled with soaring costs and escalating nurse vacancy rates.

Case Western Reserve and UH face off in the first round against Vanderbilt University.
