Volunteers needed for Tamir Rice memorial garden

The Tamir Rice Foundation is looking for volunteers to help tend to Tamir’s memorial garden. In 2015, the memorial garden for Tamir Rice (a local 12-year-old boy who was killed by a police officer) was collaboratively designed and built by Tamir’s family, classmates, teachers, and extended community. The Foundation is turning the location where Tamir died into a positive space for the community who still uses the park. In preparation for a new memorial addition coming in the next year, volunteers will be doing a “Spring clean” of the outdoor space on Thursdays, April 25 and May 2, from 5-7 pm in Cudell Park, 1910 West Boulevard in Cleveland.
