The Career Center is seeking faculty and staff members to participate in the sixth annual Mock Multiple-Mini Interview (MMI) Day for pre-med and pre-health students Friday, Sept. 13.
The MMI is a unique interview format, sometimes referred to as a “speed-dating” interview, which requires students to rotate among several stations where they respond to a different prompt for five to 10 minutes. This style places heavy emphasis on evaluating candidates’ interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ethical or moral judgment. The MMI format has become increasingly popular with professional healthcare programs over the past several years.
The success of this annual event is highly dependent on faculty and staff volunteer participation. The Career Center needs volunteers who can interview students during a one-hour time block Friday, Sept. 13, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
An interviewer will see up to five students during a one-hour block and ask questions from predetermined prompts. Interviewers will be given their prompts, suggested follow-up questions, and evaluation sheets prior to the session.
