Gilbert Doho, associate professor of French and Francophone studies, will present a lecture titled “The Bamileke Writers” on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 4 to 5 p.m. in Kelvin Smith Library’s Dampeer Room (on the second floor).
Doho’s talk is a part of the monthly lecture series, Voices from Around the Globe, sponsored by Kelvin Smith Library and the Center for International Affairs. “Voices from Around the Globe” allows faculty, students, staff, alumni and invited community guests from diverse backgrounds to have an opportunity to give presentations about their country, hometown and culture. At each presentation, library books and materials will be displayed representing that country. These sessions will help attendees view various cultures from multiple perspectives to enrich their self-awareness to foster a diverse and inclusive campus. Light refreshments will be provided.
