For the first time since 2019, the Case Western Reserve University Visual Sciences Research Center (VSRC) will hold its annual symposium in person. The event will be held Friday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the Wolstein Research Building Auditorium.
The day’s keynote speaker will be Ula V. Jurkunas, associate professor of ophthalmology from Harvard Medical School and a physician and surgeon from Massachusetts Eye and Ear. She will present “Crosstalk Between UV Light and Estrogen Metabolism in the Pathogenesis of Fuchs Dystrophy: Why Are Females More Affected?”
Additional presentations will also be given throughout the day featuring the work being done in the various laboratories comprising the VSRC.
Registration is at the door beginning at 8:30 a.m., which will be followed by a reception.
