Virtual retirement educational seminars

Whether you are planning to retire in the next few months or next few years, it is important to understand how to navigate pre-retirement planning. Case Western Reserve University has arranged for virtual retirement educational seminars with representatives who will present pertinent information and questions.

Registration is required for all sessions because they are remotely based. The webinar link will be provided to all registered participants closer to the seminar dates.

Social Security benefits

A representative from the Social Security Administration will present multiple virtual seminars to offer clear, concise information regarding Social Security retirement and spousal and survivor benefits.

The sessions will be held:

Medicare

A representative from the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program, the state’s official source for free, unbiased Medicare information and counseling, will hold multiple virtual seminars. These virtual seminars will help new and soon-to-be beneficiaries understand the basics of Medicare.

Retirement planning advisors

Representatives from TIAA and Vanguard, the retirement investment carriers of Case Western Reserve, will be holding virtual seminars to provide education on retirement planning. 

TIAA will host “Paying Yourself: Income Options in Retirement” Thursday, July 30, from noon to 1 p.m. RSVP for the TIAA session. 

Vanguard will host a session titled “Getting on Track for Retirement” Thursday, July 30, from noon to 1 p.m. RSVP for the Vanguard session.
