Virtual mocktail hour and networking training for international students

All Case Western Reserve University international students are invited to attend a virtual mocktail hour and networking training to help prepare for networking opportunities and social situations in their future career.

Networking events, mixers and cocktail hours can be helpful opportunities to make contacts during job searches, and employers want to know their employees can be professional, even in social situations.

However, these situations can be difficult to navigate, and mastering networking etiquette and learning western expectations of politeness can help international students feel more comfortable and better prepared to make a great impression.

The Center for International Affairs’ Mocktail Hour and Networking Training event will feature live, virtual training from etiquette consultant Catherine Holloway. Students who attend will be able to see and interact with each other as well as have an opportunity to practice the skills learned during the training.

There are two opportunities for international students to attend:

Those interested need to register on the ISS CampusGroups page to receive the Zoom link to participate.
