Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education will host Michael Benza, senior instructor of law, for a talk titled “A View from the Death House: An Inside Look at Capital Punishment and Executions” Friday, Sept. 28, from 12:45 to 2 p.m. in Sears Library Building, Room 333.
At the School of Law, Benza teaches criminal law, criminal procedure, death penalty issues, the death penalty lab, federal prisoner rights and international perspectives on the death penalty. He also represents death row inmates in state and federal courts.
During his talk, he will discuss his experiences as an appellate lawyer for death row inmates.
