Sequestration cuts will shortchange students, universities say

The Columbus Dispatch: After federal officials failed to reach a deal to avoid across-the-board spending cuts, university administrators noted it will heavily affect students, operations and research. In the long term, the cuts will decrease opportunities for scientific advancement, job creation and commercialization of ideas, said Robert Miller, vice president of research and technology management.
