[U]Tech recommends Apple users protect their devices with new software update

[U]Tech recommends that users immediately update their Apple devices to address a critical vulnerability. A software update for this purpose was released Monday, Sept. 13. All Apple users should check and install this update on all Apple devices as soon as possible.

Additional information and instructions on how to apply these updates can be found at Apple Support.

Faculty and staff using university-supplied computers in the UGEN + Executive IT Support area do not need to take any action, as their updates are managed and this specific update will be applied automatically.

Please note that after a software update is installed for iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and watchOS, it cannot be downgraded to the previous version.
