[U]Tech offers guidance for issue related to latest update of Google Chrome

University Technology ([U]Tech) would like to inform the campus community of an issue related to the latest update of Google Chrome (version 78) that occurs if a computer is running Symantec Endpoint Protection. If your computing device is not running Symantec Endpoint Protection, this issue should not present itself.

If the computing device is not on the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection, Chrome will display an “Aw, Snap! Something went wrong while displaying this webpage” error. To resolve this issue, [U]Tech recommends visiting the Software Center and downloading Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.2.0 MP1. If Chrome is not displaying that error, no action is needed.
