[U]Tech adds additional security measure for Zoom

University Technology ([U]Tech) continues to make Zoom a more secure environment for the campus community. Starting Thursday, April 16, all users will be required to log into Case Western Reserve University Single Sign-On (SSO), by default, to view any meeting recordings shared in Zoom. This setting will protect against publicly sharing a Zoom recording that was intended solely for the CWRU community.

Individual Zoom users will be able to opt-out of the new setting for all or specific recordings. However, [U]Tech strongly recommends that Zoom users require SSO by default for their recordings and only turn off the SSO requirement for individual recordings that are intended to be shared with audiences beyond the campus community.

Find out more about securing your Zoom recordings with the [U]Tech Zoom Security Guide.
