USAID officer to visit campus May 2 for talk on global health development

Bill GoldmanInterested in global health, health policy, reproductive health or HIV/AIDS prevention? The American Medical Student Association will host guest Bill Goldman, who will speak about his 25 years of work as a foreign-service officer with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and his perspective about the impact and future of international aid for global health development.

Goldman will address the challenges he faced implementing reproductive health programs in Bangladesh, efforts to distribute oral rehydration salts and educate individuals on their benefits, and the political atmosphere surrounding international aid.

The event will be held Thursday, May 2, at 5 p.m. in the School of Medicine, Robbins Building E301. All members of the Case Western Reserve University community are welcome. Light refreshments will be served. An online RSVP is required.
