In honor of Black History Month, the Wrongful Convictions Club will host “Uplifting Black Voices,” a talk by two exonerees, today (Feb. 20) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the School of Law, Room 157.
Ru-El Sailor was convicted of murder, kidnapping and assault in June 2003. In 2018, after 15 years in prison, Sailor was released. In November 2022, he was declared wrongfully convicted.
Chris Miller was convicted of sexual assault, robbery, kidnapping and other charges in 2002. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison and exonerated in 2018.
