Update Safe Ride app today

Students, faculty and staff who use the Safe Ride app to schedule a ride between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m. are encouraged to update their app to the latest version (2.8.6 for iPhone; 2.0.9.8 for Android).

The company that operates Safe Ride introduced a number of fixes to resolve recent issues, especially for iPhone users. The company is working on additional updates for fix outstanding problems.

If, after updating the app, you still receive errors, report the issues to the University Technology Service Desk at help@case.edu or 216.368.HELP (4357) or visit help.case.edu. Please have available the device you are using, the version of the app, and the error message you’ve received.

About Safe Ride

Safe Ride is an after-hours addition to public transportation. It runs seven days a week, between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m. Security officers drive all Safe Ride vehicles.

There are three ways to request a Safe Ride between the hours of 6 p.m. and 3 a.m.:

  1. Visit saferide.case.edu
  2. Call 216.368.3000
  3. Use the smartphone app: Download the free smartphone app on the Google Play or Apple Stores by searching “CWRU Safe Ride.” Then, sign in with your CWRU ID and password to activate.
