Upcoming UCITE session to cover “How to Teach Public Speaking”

Leaders of this week’s UCITE lunchtime session will discuss “How to Teach Public Speaking,” offering suggestions, tips and guidelines for teaching students how to prepare and deliver oral presentations.

Sarah de Swart, the associate director of UCITE, will lead the session, along with Bill Doll, the author of Speak: How to Talk to Classmates and Others, the SAGES primer on public speaking. For several years, de Swart, an actress and leadership trainer, and Doll, who leads a SAGES seminar and teaches a course on public speaking, have offered free workshops on public speaking in SAGES seminar classes.

The discussion will be held July 19 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Herrick Room, located on the ground floor on the Allen Memorial Medical Library.

Pizza and sodas will be provided at this session; RSVP to ucite@case.edu.
