At Case Western Reserve University, everyone has free access to a suite of more than 40 Google Apps, from mobile to media, geo to social. These Apps for Education products are a lot more than email, calendaring and docs, but many people are not aware of how to access and use them all effectively.
At the next UCITE session, “Using Google Apps,” Tina Oestreich, Brian Yuhnke and Jennifer Loudiana from Information Technology Services will discuss how the Google Apps for Education suite can enable active exploration and promote collaborative learning, field-based research, visualization, problem-solving, critical thinking and lifelong learning. They will focus specifically on Google Drive (including Google Docs, Google Forms, etc.) as well as Google+. Participants will be encouraged to share their own stories of how they are using Google Apps in their teaching and research.
The discussion will be held July 12 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Herrick Room on the ground floor of the Allen Memorial Medical Library.
