During the August meeting of Science Café Cleveland, Iwan Alexander, chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, will present “Wind Power: hot air or energy for the future?”
Alexander will talk about offshore wind (including the Great Lakes), its relevance, barriers to implementation and its role now and in the future relative to conventional fuels for electrical power—coal, natural gas and nuclear.
The discussion will be held at Market Garden Brewery Aug. 13, with drinks beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the talk at 7.
