Information Technology Services (ITS) will host “ITS Connect: A Tour of Blackboard Learn” on Thursday, July 25, at 11:30 a.m. via connect.case.edu/itsconnect.
Blackboard Learn, the campus’s learning management platform, has been updated with new functionality and an enhanced user interface. Features added to the platform include global navigation and My BlackBoard Home and Video Everywhere, which will allow students and instructors to record and post YouTube videos in course materials and discussions.
The new version of Blackboard Learn contains several useful features specifically for faculty members.
With the Retention Center, instructors can monitor student progress throughout the course and address concerns early. Additionally, inline grading will allow instructors to view and annotate student submissions in a Web browser without having to download the files to their machines.
The campus community is invited to attend ITS Connect, which will be streamed at connect.case.edu/itsconnect (sign in with your CWRU Network ID and password to join the meeting room) and include time for a Q&A session. After the session, the recorded version will be posted to help.case.edu.
