Unlikely Friends: A Conversation with Bereaved Palestinian and Israeli Fathers

Join Siegal Lifelong Learning for a free remote conversation about “Unlikely Friends: A Conversation with Bereaved Palestinian and Israeli Fathers,” Sunday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. (EST). The conversation will feature Palestinian Bassam Aramin and Israeli Rami Elhanan, fathers who both lost their young daughters to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As former co-directors of “The Parents Circle”, an Israeli-Palestinian organization of bereaved families, they seek a path of reconciliation. Aramin and Elhanan are joined by Irish-American writer Colum McCann, who wove their stories into his award-winning novel “Apeirogon” – named for a shape with a countably infinite number of sides. Attend the discussion for a conversation with these three unlikely friends, as they discuss loss, literature, friendship, and their hopes for peace.
