The Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities will host a presentation by Mary C. Francis, executive editor of music and cinema studies for the University of California Press, on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Her talk, titled “Scholarly Publishing Today,” will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., in Clark Hall 206.
Scholars at every stage face an overwhelming array of choices concerning the publication of their scholarship. The landscape of research, teaching and publishing continues to change, and part of a successful career as a scholar involves understanding the process of publishing and disseminating one’s work.
Francis will discuss the publishing process, from start to finish, and take questions about changes in academic publishing today
This event is free and open to the public.
