University Counseling Services to sponsor Friday workshops on student health, wellness

University Counseling Services is sponsoring a series of workshops called “Mind-Body Cafe” to foster student health and wellness. Each week, a different topic will be discussed, from talking to parents about grades to boosting self-esteem.

These sessions will take place in Sears Library Building room 350 every Friday of the semester, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

On Friday, Oct. 12, workshop leaders will discuss “Tips on How to Beat Test Anxiety.” The schedule for the remainder of the semester is as follows:

  • Oct. 12: Tips on How to Beat Test Anxiety
  • Oct. 19: Alcohol in the Family
  • Oct. 26: Boosting Self-Esteem
  • Nov. 2: Mindfulness in Everyday Life
  • Nov. 9: Healthy Relationships & Social Media
  • Nov. 16: Talking to Parents about Grades & Plans for Next Semester
  • Nov. 30: Love Your Body; Love Yourself
  • Dec. 7: Peace, Love & Happiness
