University Compliance Office to offer final information session on FERPA

The University Compliance Office will present its final information session on managing student education records in the context of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Thursday, May 21, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Toepfer Room of Adelbert Hall.

The final presentation on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and managing protected health information will take place June 18.

Since last July, the University Compliance Office has presented monthly privacy-related information sessions for Case Western Reserve University employees to learn best practice tips to apply to their jobs. Taking place on the third Thursday of every month, the topics have rotated monthly between general Privacy Management in Higher Education, Issues on FERPA and Issues on HIPAA.
