University community members published on Anisfield-Wolf blog

Two university community members were recently published on the Anisfield-Wolf blog.

Karen Long, manager of the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards, was among the supporters of the 2016 Martin Luther King Essay contest, providing books for the first prize winners and tickets to see the Playhouse Square production of Katori Hall’s The Mountaintop.

Long selected senior Shadi Ahmadmehrabi’s essay, “Activism in your own backyard: how to spark change where you live” for publication on the Anisfield-Wolf blog, which has an international readership.

In fall, 2015, Case Western Reserve University welcomed the second Anisfield-Wolf Fellow, Kaysha Corinealdi, bringing more Anisfield-Wolf authors, themes and content to the SAGES program.

Corinealdi introduced the 2005 Anisfield-Wolf fiction winner Edwidge Danticat for Writer’s Center Stage. Corinealdi’s remarks are also published on the Anisfield-Wolf blog.
