One of the main purposes of Unity Banquet is to give away scholarship dollars to CWRU’s underrepresented students. Through the Momentum Scholarship Fund, the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) is able to give scholarships to students who can apply it to all parts of academic persistence. These funds can be used beyond tuition and can cover expenses like study abroad, conference participation, or internship and co-op related expenses.
Jasmine Pace, OMA’s department coordinator, will award scholarships from the Momentum Fund today (April 8), the fourth day of Unity Week.
Scholarships from the African American Society, Alianza Latina/Latino Alliance and First CWRU also will be awarded today.
Randy Blackford, OMA’s senior assistant director, will recognize graduating students who have gone above and beyond in their academic endeavors at CWRU.
Today’s event will be from noon to 1 p.m.
