Undergraduate student Kintan Yuan Ayu Silvany receives scholarship from The Obama Foundation

Kintan Yuan Ayu Silvany, a rising junior majoring in international studies, was named an Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service recipient. The scholarship—also known as the Voyager Scholarship—was created by the Obamas and Brian Chesky, co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, to help shape leaders to prepare them to make meaningful change.

Recipients receive financial aid worth up to $50,000 ($25,000 per year in “last dollar” aid) and the opportunity to engage in travel experiences, including a $10,000 stipend and free Airbnb housing to pursue a summer work-travel experience.

Additionally, students participate in a fall summit and are part of a network of fellow leaders.
