Undergraduate Indian Students Association to hold annual cultural show Nov. 16

Andaaz FlyerThe Undergraduate Indian Students Association (uISA) will hold its annual cultural show, Andaaz, on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at John Hay High School Auditorium (2075 Stokes Blvd.).

Featuring a mix of performances that span different cultures and traditions across India, the show aims to demonstrate the diversity and vibrance of India to the Case Western Reserve University community.

The show will feature performances by Dhamakapella, Case Kismat, Spartan Bhangra and Nritya, as well as a South Indian dance performance, a dance by each class and a solo singing performance.

This year, Andaaz will focus on uISA and how it represents the merging of two different (yet not so different) cultures.

Annually, the show brings in more than 550 attendees and 120 performers, and is free to anyone who attends.

Food will be sold during intermission and donations will be accepted throughout the night to benefit the charity ASHA for Education, which seeks to provide better educational facilities and foundations for underprivileged children in India.

A Greenie bus will be available as transportation for students.
