Many may think they know all of the resources available to faculty at the Kelvin Smith Library. But in addition to those resources, there are numerous ways in which the library specifically supports teaching at the university.
Some of these include:
- The opportunity to bring your class to the library to learn about specific research tools;
- Help with research/writing assignment design;
- Research guides platform; and
- Special collections.
Bill Claspy, a research services librarian at Kelvin Smith Library, will lead the next University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education session to outline all of the ways the library and its staff can help faculty in their classes and beyond.
In addition, Claspy hopes to hear from faculty during the session to find out how the library can help them.
This session will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Herrick Room (use Adelbert Road doors).
Pizza and sodas will be provided at this session.
