The next University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) session is a discussion titled “Getting Off to a Good Start.”
Though the beginning of the year can be hectic, research has shown that paying extra attention to these first few weeks of classes can establish extremely helpful patterns for both students and faculty.
This first UCITE session of the fall semester will offer suggestions on how to get more engagement from students and how to encourage them to read and write better. Attendees will receive tips on what they can do to make the semester go smoother. The session will give faculty the chance to address any concerns they might have.
This session will be held Wednesday, Aug. 30, from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. in the Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Herrick Room.
