UCITE extends application deadline for several programs

The University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) has extended the deadline for applications to its Glennan Fellowships, Nord Grants and Learning Fellowships. The new deadline is June 30 for each of the programs.

Glennan Fellowships

Each year, a faculty cohort of up to four Glennan Fellows is selected. Each fellow will receive a $6,500 stipend to develop their teaching and scholarship and will attend monthly meetings with the cohort during the spring and fall semesters. Nominees must be tenure-track, though still untenured, for the duration of the fellowship.

Nord Grants

Nord Grants support UCITE’s goal of empowering people to learn through the development of innovative faculty teaching and research projects that directly benefit student learning. Projects may be created by individual faculty members or in collaboration with others, including members of educational and cultural institutions external to CWRU.

Learning Fellowships

Participants will have the opportunity to reflect upon and further develop their teaching practice as part of an interdisciplinary learning community. The semester-long seminar will meet once a week to engage in activities and discuss readings that focus on innovative pedagogy and share ideas as to how student learning can be improved using innovative, evidence-based strategies.

Meetings take place Thursdays from 1 to 2:15 p.m., beginning Aug. 27 and ending on Dec. 3, excluding Thanksgiving.
